HIGHLIGHTS:
• Seeking three voting members to volunteer for Congregational Audit
Committee.
• Goal is to conduct an independent audit in the summer of 2022.
• Congregational audit is an independent evaluation of our financial records
and internal controls of the congregation. The intention is to promote
reasonable assurance that good stewardship is being used in handling and
accounting for the funds and other assets of the congregation.
• Preference is for volunteers to have basic accounting knowledge with hopes
for a person familiar with congregational financial records can help guide
the Congregational Audit Committee.
• Audit to follow ELCA’s Congregational Audit Guide.• Volunteers shall be independent of the Finance Committee, reporting findings directly to Church Council.
