Mission:

The mission of the Welcome Committee is to welcome new parishioners and to enrich the overall hospitality offered by the church. The Committee is a visionary group, working on forming and implementing new ideas to create an inviting environment for our parish community and visitors.

Highlights:
• The Welcome table is manned every Sunday before the 9:30 am. and 11:00 am service. Members are at the door to greet visitors and members.
• Welcome Bags are handed out to new members which consist of a St Mark coffee mug, church brochures, a prayer square and a coupon for a Café breakfast.
• In addition, Amanda mails a welcome letter from the congregation when provided addresses.

Members of the Committee are Nancy Bowden, Carlton Hardy, Jackie Jefferis, Betty Nehr, Danielle Neubauer, Dale Pedersen, and Faye Waller. Joan Farr is a consulting member.

Plans for the future:
• Intergenerational Welcome Table – Recruit all age members to help greet visitors.
• Add new things to the Welcome Table: Connection Card to obtain information about the visitors for follow-up; add coffee so the new members do not have to go back to the brunch area to get a cup.
• Getting to know you meal for visitors and new members.
• Welcome Church without Walls – start programs to reach out to the community.
